4 Things You Should Never Do On a Cruise
Waiting for your cruise transfers in Hampshire, UK? We understand the excitement you must be in, and you probably don't want to be told what not to do. However, being a sensible passenger can keep you from doing anything unwise and ruining the trip.
Here are four things you should never do on a cruise ship:
1- Don't Take Any Illegal Recreational Drugs Overboard
At the risk of sounding like your no-fun lawyer, please don't take any illegal substances on board. You must know that marijuana is illegal in England. Even CBD products are regulated in the UK, and you can't legally take CBD oil that contains more than 0.2% THC. Even legal CBD products may not be allowed on your cruise ship.
You might be left on the port if caught trying to slip something past the guards. Play it safe, and don't take any drugs. Some cruise ships don't allow alcohol either, be mindful of that.
2- Don't Drink Like A Sailor
You might be looking forward to getting yourself wasted and singing "what do we do with a sailor" with your cruise buddies. We're afraid overdrinking can end up far worse for you than what happens in The Irish Rovers song.
You probably hear people falling overboard all the time. Risky behaviour from drinking too much is the most common cause of this. Also, what's the point of cruising if you don't remember any of it in the morning? Try drinking in moderation.
3- Don't Eat Too Much Too Early
Motion sickness can be a real bummer on a cruise. There's a part inside your ear called the vestibular system that can sense orientation and body movement. When you're on a cruise ship that is constantly tilting, this organ tells the brain that your body is moving. However, the walls are moving with you since you're inside, and your eyes tell the brain that you aren't moving. This makes the brain think you've eaten something toxic, causing hallucinations and making you want to throw up.
You can limit motion sickness by not eating too much on your cruise. Also, leave some room for foods that can help with motion sickness, such as soda.
4- Don't Be The Last Person Onboard
Make sure you book Southampton cruise transfer that get you there in time. The ship can leave without you if you're late. We recommend Go Comfort.
